Accommodation

At SHC the children sleep in rooms of about 6-10 people usually in bunk beds. Each room has an ensuite. The boys’ rooms and girls’ rooms are located in separate buildings. During registration, each child has an opportunity to nominate one or two friends they would like to share a room with. This preference will be considered but can’t be guaranteed. Students are required to bring their own linen/sleeping bag and pillow.

Camp Activities

We will be utilizing the Camp Kedron outdoor activities as a means of giving students a break from playing their horns, and to facilitate further bonding with their peers. There will be at least one coordinated activity held each day, such as archery, rock climbing, and pioneering.

Students may opt out of any activities they do not wish to try, and all activities that will be performed during the camp require consent during registration in order for students to participate.

SHC Memorabilia

Not only will all students go home with a wealth of knowledge after SHC, but they'll also be taking home their own SHC shirt to keep (note. the image to the right demonstrates the shirt provided in 2024). All memorabilia received will include the SHC25 logo and be of high quality, durable, and eco friendly material. For further questions, please feel free to email us

Sizes will be allocated as per any specifications made during registration.

Recreation time

When students aren't rehearsing, practicing, participating in actvities, or attending workshops, masterclasses and guest performances, they will be able to make use of the Camp Kedron recreation spaces. This includes a large indoor court with sporting equipment, an upstairs gaming area, outdoor volleyball field, and outdoor playground.

Younger students will be allocated more time free time than older, high school students, to ensure that everyone has enough time to recharge and recuperate!
